Starting with DentalPlus

DentalPlus is a fully web-based and cloud-hosted practice management system, allowing you to securely access it from any device using a web browser.

The guide​

The guide also outlines the key steps required to prepare your practice, set up users, and ensure your team is ready to work with DentalPlus.

Step 1 – Initial System Configuration​

Our team will configure the system based on your initial requirements and practice setup information. This includes preparing the main settings, practice details, available treatments, appointment reasons, pricing, and required functionality before users start working with the system.

Step 2 – Creating Practice Administrator Users​

Our support team will create the initial Practice Administrator users. These users will be responsible for managing the system, including adding other users, configuring permissions, and maintaining practice settings.

Step 3 – Adding Users and Managing Access​

Practice Administrators can create additional users and send them invitation links.

For each user, the following details should be configured:

  • User details
  • Permission levels
  • Practice access

Step 4 – User Registration​

Users complete the registration process using the invitation link and create their login credentials for future access to DentalPlus.

All users will benefit from step-by-step guidance through our Role-Based Guides, designed to help them understand the functionality relevant to their daily tasks.

Step 5 – Document Templates Configuration​

Default document templates are configured in the system. Additional templates can be created and customised by Administators in the relevant sections.

Step 6 – Installing X-Ray Bridge and Scanner Tools​

The X-Ray Bridge and Scanning Tools can be installed by any user with the appropriate permission on each required computer directly from the Patient Record.

Step 7 – Setting Up Clinician Rotas​

Practice Administrators can submit and configure working schedules (rotas) for clinical users.

Step 8 – Creating Templates for Clinical Notes​

Administrators can manage practice note templates, while clinical users can create their own personal clinical note templates to support an efficient daily workflow.

Step 9 - Installing the Digital Signature App​

For digital signatures, the DentalPlus Remote Form V4 application needs to be installed from the Amazon Appstore. The system currently supports Amazon Fire tablets only.

If a practice does not have compatible Amazon Fire tablets, the digital signature functionality can be replaced by completing medical forms through email/SMS requests via the Patient Portal.
